DSB Bathrooms transformed the existing bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, anti-slip tray, support rails and a smart bidet toilet. We then combined these practical features with contemporary grey wall panels, fitted furniture and chrome finishes.

Creating a Safer Showering Space

The previous layout no longer offered the level of accessibility the homeowner needed. Therefore, we redesigned the shower area around comfort, stability and ease of use.

A large 1700mm x 900mm anti-slip shower tray creates a generous showering area. Meanwhile, the glass screen and deflector panel keep the design feeling open rather than enclosed.

We also added white support rails and a padded fold-up shower seat with back and arm supports. These features provide extra confidence when showering without dominating the overall design.

Finally, a Mira Sport Max electric shower gives the homeowner simple, reliable control over their shower.

Smart Features for Greater Independence

Accessibility extends beyond the shower.

For this renovation, we introduced a smart toilet with a built-in bidet wash function, heated seat and dryer. This provides additional comfort while helping the homeowner maintain greater independence in their daily routine.

We also planned the electrical supply around the new layout. As a result, the bathroom can support the smart toilet alongside the electric shower and dual-fuel heated towel rail.

Modern Grey Wall Panels

Practicality played an important role when choosing the wall finish.

Rather than covering the room with traditional tiles, we used Grey Quartz Matt shower wall panels across the walls, window reveals, sill and shower alcove.

The panels create a clean, contemporary finish while reducing the number of grout lines in the room. Consequently, the bathroom becomes much easier to clean and maintain.

Chrome trims add a crisp finishing detail and tie the wall panels into the rest of the bathroom fittings.

Storage Without the Clutter

A bathroom works better when everything has its place.

We incorporated an Infinity vanity unit alongside additional storage units to provide useful space for toiletries and everyday essentials.

The fitted furniture keeps the room organised while maintaining a simple, uncluttered appearance. In addition, a wall-mounted shaving mirror provides another practical feature without taking up valuable worktop space.

Comfort from Floor to Ceiling

We chose Nortex vinyl flooring to create a comfortable and practical surface underfoot.

Before fitting the vinyl, we prepared the floor with plywood to provide a smooth and secure base. The finished flooring works perfectly alongside the grey wall panels and white furniture.

Above, we lowered and renewed the ceiling before plastering and decorating it. Six LED spotlights now provide bright, even lighting throughout the bathroom.

Finally, a chrome dual-fuel heated towel rail adds warmth and gives the homeowner the option to heat towels independently when required.
