Modern Bathroom Renovation in Devon | Brushed Brass Bathroom Installation by DSB Bathrooms. This project involved a full bathroom renovation in Devon, including complete strip-out, plumbing, electrical, and installation works to transform the space into a clean, modern bathroom with brushed brass fittings and contemporary finishes.

All works were carried out by DSB Bathrooms in line with the agreed layout and specification.

Rubbish Removal / Disposal

All existing materials, fixtures, and waste were removed and disposed of by DSB Bathrooms, leaving the space clear and ready for refurbishment.

Plumbing

1st and 2nd fix plumbing works were completed to suit the new bathroom layout and sanitary ware installation.

• New pipework installed as per design
• Wall hung vanity and concealed cistern accommodated
• Shower, basin and WC connections completed
• System tested for leaks and correct operation

Electrical

1st and 2nd fix electrical works carried out to allow for installation of new components:

• Lighting x2 spotlights (brushed brass bezels)
• Switch x1 replaced
• Inline extractor fan installed
• Combined light/extractor isolator installed externally
• Existing shaver point removed
• Existing extractor ducting and termination reused

Building Works

Full strip-out of the existing bathroom including sanitary ware, tiles and fixtures.

Retained elements included timber flooring, upper wall sections, door and architrave.

Works carried out:

• Installation of new studwork for layout and fixtures
• Formation of alcove and service voids
• Ply boarding installed ready for LVT flooring
• Ceiling over-boarded and plaster skimmed
• Waterproof tanking applied to wet areas
• Shower wall panels installed as per design
• 2nd fix plumbing and electrical completed
• Silicone sealing applied where required
• Final testing completed

Allowance made for return visit to install bespoke cut glass shower enclosure.

Flooring

Preparation and installation of click LVT flooring in a rich walnut finish.

• Subfloor prepared
• LVT flooring installed
• Edges finished with trims and sealant

Shower Wall Panels

Installation of grey quartz matte PVC shower panels.

• Surfaces prepared
• Panels fixed using non-solvent adhesive
• Brushed brass trims installed
• All joints sealed

Painting & Decorating

• Surfaces prepared throughout
• Walls and ceilings painted (excluding architrave)

Sanitary Ware Installation

Installation of new bathroom suite including:

• Wall hung vanity unit and basin
• Back to wall WC with concealed cistern
• Brushed brass push button and fittings
• Brushed brass shower system and basin tap
• Anti-slip shower tray with fast flow waste
• Brushed brass towel radiator and valves
• Bespoke cut shower enclosure (to be installed)

Testing

All components tested for correct operation and checked for leaks on completion.

Variation Notes

The following items were not included within the estimate and may be subject to additional cost if required:

• Replacement of timber flooring or joists if found to be defective
• Additional plaster boarding where tile removal affects existing walls
• Plaster skimming to walls above panel height
• Matching of brushed brass finishes across different products cannot be guarantee
